Day One: Colombo – Dambulla
Arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport – you will be met by our representative and transferred in a luxury Toyota Prado to the Amaya Signature in Dambulla.
Overnight stay with a four-course set menu dinner and set menu breakfast at the hotel. A personal butler service is also included.

Day Two: Dambulla – Sigiriya – Kandy
After an early breakfast proceed to climb Sigiriya Rock Fortress, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
*Sigiriya Rock Fortress – an iconic attraction in Sri Lanka, the Sigiriya Rock Fortress is also known as the ‘Lion Rock’ due to the gigantic lion structure that once stood at its entrance. Sometimes referred to as the ‘Eighth Wonder of the World’, the fortress was built during the reign of King Kasyapa and dates back to the 5th century. A royal citadel for almost two decades, it is famed for its rock frescoes referred to as the ‘Sigiriya maidens’, Mirror Wall with its ancient verses and ingenious water gardens. At the summit, you will find what remains of the royal palace set amidst stunning vistas of the surroundings.
Proceed to Kandy – visit a spice garden and a batik factory on the way.
Explore the sacred city of Kandy, the country’s last great kingdom which lies amidst mist shrouded mountains. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, this city has a rich history and offers much to see and do; head to the famous Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, enjoy spectacular vistas of Kandy from the Upper Lake Drive and spend time at the Royal Botanical Gardens.
Kandy is also a great place for some retail therapy and offers you a chance to buy some distinctive souvenirs and gifts from Sri Lanka including batiks, gems, jewellery and handicrafts.
*Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic – referred to as the ‘Sri Dalada Maligawa’, this historic temple is found within Kandy’s royal palace complex. Housing what is believed to be a tooth relic of Lord Buddha, it is one of the most significant temples in the island for Buddhist devotees. This sacred site is also a main point of interest during the Kandy Esala Perahera, a popular annual festival.

Day Three to Day Four: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage and Royal Botanical Gardens
*Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage – one of Sri Lanka’s most beloved attractions, the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage gives visitors a chance to get up close with these gentle giants. Started with the purpose of looking after orphaned young elephants, the orphanage is also involved in captive breeding. The bathing and feeding sessions are definitely the highlights here; the much loved bathing time is at a nearby river from 10:00am to 12:00pm and 02:00pm to 04:00pm. The baby elephant feeding sessions are generally at 09:15am and 01:15pm.
*Royal Botanical Gardens – amongst the premier botanical gardens in Sri Lanka, the Royal Botanical Gardens is home to over 4,000 plant species. Located in Peradeniya, Kandy, the site not only features endemic flora but foreign plant species as well. It is one of Asia’s finest botanical gardens and is well known for its collection of orchids as well as talipot palms, spices, cannonball trees and medicinal plants.
Proceed to Nuwara Eliya.
Stop by a tea factory en-route to see how world famous Ceylon tea is produced and prepared.
Referred to as ‘Little England’, Nuwara Eliya resembles an old English town complete with a picturesque lake, quaint cottages, horse racing track, an Anglican church and even an 18 hole golf course. Visit the Hakgala Botanical Gardens which is home to more than 10,000 species of flora including an exotic collection of roses, orchids and ferns.

Transfer to Galle for your much awaited beach holiday.
Day Five to Day Seven: Nuwara Eliya – Koggala
Enjoy your beach stay at The Fortress Resort & Spa for the last four nights in an Ocean Room with a breakfast buffet and a four-course daily dinner.
Day Eight: Koggala – Airport
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the Bandaranaike International Airport for your flight back home.
