ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

Considering the resurgence of the COVID 19 pandemic, the Board of Directors of The Fortress Resorts PLC
has decided to proceed with the Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Wednesday, 29th September 2021 as
scheduled using audiovisual technology and the Guidelines issued by the Colombo Stock Exchange
(CSE).

  • The Yala National Park is reputed with one of the highest concentrations of leopards in the world.
  • Visitors are only permitted to enter to only one-fifth of the park which spreads over an area of 1260 square kilometer
  • Home for many threatened species in the world, here are a few notable mammals you might spot at the park: Sloth Bear (Melursus ursinus), Leopard
    (Panthera pardus kotiya), Elephant (Elephas maximus), Water Buffalo (Bubalus bubalis), Wild Boar (Sus scrofa), Spotted Deer (Axis axis ceylonessis), Sambar
    (Cervus unicolor) and Golden Jackal (Canis aureus).
  • The best times to spot leopards are from January to July and the amazing Sri Lankan wild elephants are from May to August.
  • Crowded with various types of birds, the park is home for some wonderful birds like the Lesser Flamingo, Pelican, Spoonbill, Painted Stork, rare Black Necked
    Stork, Grey Heron, Purple Heron, Night Heron, Darter, Orange Breasted Green Pigeon, Hornbills, Flycatchers, including Asian Paradise Flycatcher, Barbets,
    and Orioles.
  • Thousands of migrating birds visit the park which includes the Pintail, Garganey, Eurasian Curlew, Whimbrel and Turnstone.
  • The notable reptiles that can be spotted at the park are the Mugger Crocodile, Estuarine Crocodile, Common Monitor, Cobra, and the Russels Viper. During
    the Sea Turtle nesting period, you will find Olive Ridley and Leatherback along the Yala National Park coastal line.
